No Bake Bird Nest Cookies Recipe

No Bake Bird Nest Cookies are classic no bake cookies but made into cute bird nests for Easter or Spring celebrations.

It’s Springtime so why not celebrate the beautiful weather and the birds chirping outside. My husband grew up eating no bake cookies but they aren’t pretty. I wanted to make them cute so I turned them into bird nests.

No Bake Bird Nest Cookies are not made in the oven, hence the no bake in the title. They are cooked on the stove top for a very short amount of time. When I make no bake cookies, I make sure to have all the ingredients ready to go since time is of the essence.

The most important part when making the cookies is the boiling time. If you boil not enough, then it will be gooey. If you boil too long, then it will be crumbly. When it comes to a rolling boil (rapidly bubbling), set a timer for one minute. As soon as the minute is over, remove it from the heat.

Then you can stir in the oat mixture. As soon as it is combined, start spooning your cookies out onto waxed paper. A cookie dropper is great to use for this part. You can quickly scoop out the cookies into uniformed shapes and then use the back of the scooper to make an indentation in the middle of each cookie. The cookies will start setting right away. Once they are cooled down, you can add the little eggs to make it look like cute bird nests.
