I have been through several vacuums in the last 10 years. Actually on the day we moved into our house, I had two vacuums break. I ended up having to run to the store to buy a new vacuum but that one only lasted a few years. Our current vacuum’s sucking power has been lacking so I was thrilled when I received the opportunity to receive a Shark Powered Lift-Away Vacuum.
As soon as I received the vacuum, I opened the box to put it together. The vacuum came in several pieces but they only needed snapped together. It took me less than a minute to assemble.
The Shark Powered Lift-Away has many nice features. Being an allergy sufferer, one of my favorite features is the filters. The Shark has an Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology® + HEPA / washable filters. The vacuum is also never supposed to lose suction power.
The front of the vacuum has led headlights which makes seeing dirt easier. You can also see all the dirt and dust you picked up from the side view of the vacuum. The lightweight Shark Powered Lift-Away has swivel steering and a low nozzle profile to get into those hard-to-reach areas.
If you don’t want to wheel around the vacuum, you can take the pod off the upright base. Then carry the pod to whenever you need to go.
Another option is placing the pod into the wheeled canister option. Then you can just pull the vacuum along with you as you clean.
Besides the Shark Powered Lift-Away basically being a 3-in-1 vacuum, it also comes with several accessories. The Hard Floor Genie comes with a microfiber pad for vacuuming large debris and wiping away fine dust at the same time. The upholstery brush grabs hair and lint from furniture. The pet upholstery tool picks up pet hair, loose debris and deep cleans surfaces. The crevice tool extends your cleaning range and has a duster option. The dusting brush can dust and clean many different surfaces.
The Shark Powered Lift-Away has fingertip controls. The power button is located right on the ergonomic handle. It also has three different flooring suction controls: hard floor, carpet/ low pile, and thick carpet/ area rug. Our house is mostly hard floors and the hard floor control has been great. With my old vacuum, I would have to do a few passes to pick up the dirt but with the Shark it picks up everything with one pass. I have been using the carpet/low on our area rugs which cleans them very well. The suction power on the rugs actually pulls you along with it. I am very happy with the Shark Powered Lift-Away and it has become my favorite vacuum so far.
