My husband and I bought a mattress about eight years ago and the springs were already getting worn out. It was about time for us to get a new bed and thanks to GhostBed, we had the opportunity to receive a new mattress. We had always had spring mattresses so I was intrigued to try a foam mattress.
I was excited when the foundation and mattress boxes were delivered to my door. I opened up the mattress box first to see how it was able to be packed so small. It was wrapped in thick plastic to keep it compacted. After I cut it off, the mattress started expanding. I cut off the second layer of plastic and let it fully expand. While it was expanding and airing out, my husband built the foundation. It was pretty easy for him to assemble the wood pieces and slats together with his power drill. It also felt very sturdy and comparable to pre-built boxsprings. The foundation also included a cover that went around the sides and top. The bottom of the boxspring was left uncovered which was new to us. It would probably make a good hiding spot or even a cat might try to hang out inside. After everything was ready to use, we placed the boxspring and mattress onto our bed frame.
We have been sleeping on the GhostBed mattress for about a month, and we like it even better than our old mattress. The mattress is firm, which was a big change for us. But the firmness actually makes my back feel better since it’s being supported now. The GhostBed’s firmness is just right – not soft and not too hard. The interior of the GhostBed is made of 1½” continuous aerated latex foam, 2″ gel memory foam and 7½” high density base layer. It also features a soft cover that easily zips off for spot cleaning. One of my favorite parts about the GhostBed is the 20 year warranty and it’s made in America by Nature’s Sleep. We are happily sleeping on the GhostBed and hopefully it continues for another 20 years.
