Taco Bites are bite-size mini tacos served in tortilla scoop chips. They make a great appetizer especially for parties.
Football is my favorite sport and it’s the only sport I enjoy watching. I grew up watching football with my father. He was a big football fan and he always had a football game on the TV. Watching football together was always fun and it always included lots of great food. I am keeping that tradition going with my family by making delicious football party food like my Taco Bites.
To get ready for the football game, I had to go to Walmart to pick up party food ingredients. I also found a neat candy display at the front of the store with the sponsors of the Big Game. Of course, I had to buy their products for our football party.
While I was shopping, I ended up buying TOSTITOS® Medium Chunky Salsa and TOSTITOS® Scoops Party Size for snacks. I also use the TOSTITOS® Scoops to make my Taco Bites. I bought SNICKERS® Minis 40oz. and Skittles® XL 41 oz. as a sweet treat. For drinks, I bought Diet Pepsi™ 12 oz. 12 pack.
When I got home from the store, I started setting up the food table. I decorated the table with a football field tablecloth and I put the snacks into football bowls. I also unwrapped some of the SNICKERS® Minis and decorated them with white icing on top to look like footballs.
After setting up the table, it was time to start making my Taco Bites. First, I had to brown the ground beef in a skillet. Then I added in the taco seasoning and water. I brought the ground beef mixture to a boil and reduced the heat to simmer for several minutes. I scooped the taco meat into each TOSTITOS® Scoops. Then I topped each one with cheese, lettuce, onions and tomatoes.
After my Taco Bites were assembled, we were ready to watch the game and enjoy all of our snacks. All the snacks and drinks were quickly devoured. Everyone loved the Taco Bites. The Taco Bites were a delicious bite-size appetizer that were easy to eat while watching football.
