Sugared Pumpkin Seeds are a great change of pace from the plain roasted pumpkin seeds. They are tossed in sugar and spice for a yummy snack option.
I am excited to announce that I am a Netflix Stream Team blogger! I have been streaming lots of movies and shows. We were watching Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest which got us in the mood to cut open our pumpkins. Every year, I buy big pumpkins to carve and pie pumpkins to make puree. Whenever we gut the pumpkins, I always save the seeds so we can eat them.
I place the guts of the pumpkins in a bowl and I separate the pulp from the seeds. Then I cover the seeds in water which helps separate the pulp remnants from the seeds. The pulp sinks to the bottom and the seeds float. I scoop out the seeds and place them in a bowl. I toss the seeds with sugar and pumpkin spice. Then I spread the coated seeds onto a cookie sheet and place them in the oven to bake. I usually bake mine for 40 minutes since I like them to be well done and crunchy. The Sugared Pumpkin Seeds make a great snack especially when streaming movies.

I’ve only added salt when roasting pumpkin seeds. Love the idea of the sugar and pumpkin spice.

What a great snack! I am a huge culprit of snacking when watching tv, and this is such a better idea than the normal culprits that I choose. I am going to have to make these!
