Homemade Vanilla Extract

  • 7 Beanilla Vanilla Beans
  • 1 cup alcohol of choice
  1. Slice vanilla beans once lengthwise and into shorter pieces.
  2. Place vanilla bean pieces into a bottle.
  3. Pour in one cup of vodka, rum or alcohol of choice and seal bottle.
  4. Shake bottle once or twice a week. The vanilla extract will be ready in 8 weeks.
  5. Store at room temperature and out of the direct sunlight.
