Strawberry Banana Bread is a delicious way to use up overripe bananas and strawberries.
We love eating banana bread in our household. I had bananas and strawberries that needed used so I decided to make Strawberry Banana Bread. To easily mash bananas, I always put the ripe bananas in a baggie and squeeze them to mush. It’s fast and I can just pour out the mashed bananas.
After I mashed the bananas, I cut up the strawberries and set them aside. In a bowl, I combined the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
In a large bowl, I mixed together the eggs, white sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, applesauce and vanilla extract. I added in the strawberries and bananas.
Then I added in the flour mixture just until blended. I poured the batter into two 9×5 inch pans. I baked them for 1 hour until they were done. I used my Good Cook Ceramic Loaf Pan which baked it great plus it made my bread more presentable. The Strawberry Banana Bread is a great snack and a nice twist on banana bread.

What an awesome tip on mashing bananas! That bread looks so good too.
Thank you 🙂
Love banana bread but have never tried it with strawberries, looks delicious! Great tip on mashing bananas too!
It’s so much easier than trying to mash bananas with a fork in a bowl.
Just squeeze it in the bag and pour it out 🙂
Looks delicious! Two of my favorites – strawberries and bananas! Pinned to Pinterest…stopping by from It’s a Keeper’s linky!
Hello! thanks for the recipe, it looks delicious. I do not have applesauce, so I can skip it or is there a substitute? thank you!!
The applesauce is just substituted for some of the oil plus it helps adds moistness. You can just substitute all vegetable oil so instead of 1/2 cup oil, you can use 1 cup total.
Thanks!!! I did it!!!! And it was delicious! thanks for sharing the recipe!!!!!!!
I’m glad you liked it 🙂
Oh, I think I will have to modify these into Gluten Free Muffins. I have the strawberries and need to get the nanas. 😉
Wow, I’ve never thought about putting strawberries in banana bread, but I’ll bet that was perfect! Love it! Thanks for participating in this!
