Easter is one of my favorite holidays. I love spending time with family and enjoying all the Easter activities. Every year, I like to make my daughter a themed candy-less Easter basket. In the past, I have made her a Minnie Mouse Easter basket and a Doc McStuffins Easter basket. This year, I am planning on making her a Disney princess Easter basket. She always enjoys her Easter basket, but our favorite part of Easter is the egg hunt. I love watching her excitedly search for Easter eggs. Carrot Patch Dirt Cups are the perfect dessert to make for Easter or to celebrate Spring. These chocolate pudding layered desserts are delicious and cute.

Spring is officially here! The warmer weather is just around the corner. My family has been celebrating by making fun treats. When I think of Spring, I think of Easter, flowers and gardening. I wanted to make a dessert that reminded me of Spring and I knew my Dirt Cake Cups would be perfect. I decided to make Carrot Patch Dirt Cups. If you don’t know what dirt cake is, it is a pudding dessert layered with crushed cookies. I used chocolate pudding and crushed Oreos to represent the dirt of a garden. For the carrots, I used orange M&M’s throughout the dessert cup. Then the M&M’s that were exposed on top, I decorated with a little green icing for the carrot tops. Since bunnies eat carrots, I topped each dirt cake cup with a marshmallow bunny. These adorable Carrot Patch Dirt Cups are the perfect dessert to make for Easter or to celebrate Spring….

Pot of Gold Brownie Bowls are the perfect dessert for St. Patrick’s Day. The brownie bowls are filled with pudding. Then topped with gold sprinkles and M&Ms.

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day last year, I made a bunch of rainbow fruit themed food: fruit pizza, yogurt parfait and fruit tray with dip. This year, I wanted to make something to go along with the previous year’s rainbow theme. I decided to make what is found at the end of the rainbow: Pot of Gold Brownie Bowls. I received a bake-a-bowl pan a few years ago and I have used it a bunch of times. You may remember my Chocolate Pudding Brownie Bowls aka pigs in mud puddles for my daughter’s farm themed birthday party. I knew a brownie bowl would be perfect for creating the pot for the gold. Then I used vanilla pudding to fill the bowl and covered it with gold sprinkles. Then I placed yellow M&M’s on top for the gold coins. The Pot of Gold Brownie Bowls came out so cute and they will be the perfect dessert on St. Patrick’s Day….

Show your love this Valentine’s Day by making Chocolate Peanut Butter Hearts. This delicious dessert treat is easy to make with only five ingredients.

Valentine’s Day is almost here! My family always has a low-key celebration each year. We like to make themed food and treats at home. One of the treats, we are making this year are Chocolate Peanut Butter Hearts. They are very easy to make and they only require five ingredients. You just need to melt the chocolate and use it to coat in the inside of a heart mold. Place the mold in the freezer for five minutes to allow the chocolate to harden. While it’s in the freezer, mix together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, butter and milk in a bowl. Then remove the mold from the freezer and press the peanut butter mixture into each heart until mostly filled. Fill the rest of the mold with melted chocolate and place the mold back in the freezer for five minutes. Once hardened, you can remove each heart from the mold. You can either start eating them right away or store them in the fridge until later. The Chocolate Peanut Butter Hearts are a cute themed Valentine’s Day treat and everyone will love them….

Valentine’s Day is only a month away! I always like to celebrate it by making fun treats for my family. One treat I am making this year are my Oreo Cookie Hearts. They are just like Oreo cookie balls, but the hearts are a lot easier to make. I do not like to dip balls in melted chocolate or wafers. It is usually time-confusing and frustrating. After my last dipping experience, I decided it was best and quicker just to use molds when possible. Molds are simple to use and they are available in pretty designs. You just need to coat the inside of the shape with melted wafers and allow it to harden for a short time. Then add the filling to the mold and top it with melted wafers. After it hardens, you remove the treats from the mold and you are done. Using a silicone heart mold was so much easier than trying to dip and decorate balls.
